Success does not happen by accident nor does it simply fall out the sky into one’s lap.  Success is based on effort, work, and honestly, being prepared when opportunity presents itself.  Any successful person will tell you it took years of trying, overcoming one failure after another, and continuing despite the odds or doubters.  Success is the byproduct of resiliency.  

Success is not something you can buy at a store, inherit, or just wake up.  If you want it, you have to go get it!  It begins with a mindset of “I refuse to quit or give up;” “I will not stop to achieve my goals;” “No matter what, I will not let it deter me from my destination.”  As cliché as it may sound, how you think, what you think, will ultimately dictate your outcome.  Can’t and won’t are not words of success, but will manifest if allowed.

What you sow is what you shall reap and sowing means planting good seed in fertile grounds and then tending to your crop.  Success is not a part time or seasonal job, but a calculated journey.  The next time you think it may be too much or feel you are not qualified, you are right!  If you feel you are undeserving, cannot live up to it, the challenge is too great, you are right!  But if you believe against all doubt, fight for your dreams, pursue with an unbridled passion, and put in maximum effort, success can and will be yours.

The Power of Love

Love never fails…

Love is the driving force beyond 99.9999% of all actions.  Whether pursuing the love of your life or your ideal job, it all stems from the same place deep within and manifests in different ways on different levels.  Love allows a person to hope, to dare, to believe, to endure, to never quit.  Love also fuels and replenishes and when necessary, love heals.  Love is the elixir of life!

Motivation can be found in many sources, but what is most refreshing and inspiring is when our youth are the ones leading the charge and motivating the elder statesmen.  The adage states our children are our future and despite the numerous stories of youth on the wrong side of the law, there are just as many stories of youth who are excelling above and beyond the norms.  One such youth is Jaylen Bledsoe.

At the spry age of 15, Bledsoe has already amassed a $3.5 million IT corporation that is steadily growing and expanding.  The CEO and President of Bledsoe Technologies, based in Missouri, states his best advise for other young entrepreneurs is to “Take risks.  As a minor, there’s nothing you can do that will shoot you down for too long. You can always jump back up and keep going.”

Bledsoe’s company staffs 150 contract employees to meet the high demands and although his age doesn’t normally coincide with wisdom, Bledsoe is preparing for the next phase of life and has intentions on attending Harvard and pursuing a corporate law degree, displaying wisdom beyond his years.

The 40s television show The Quiz Kids featured child prodigies and used the tagline “Out the mouth of babes oft times come gems.”  Jaylen Bledsoe is such a gem and a true motivation and inspiration that age does not dictate success nor hinder those that strive to succeed.  The only thing one needs do is keep trying, never quit, and never give up on your dream.  Success is gained by those who have the will and thrive to overcome in the face of turmoil and challenges.  Use this young man as a motivation to show us all that dreams are possible and whatever we set our minds to can be achieved.

When you are motivated by your passion and pursuing your purpose, enemies near and far will begin to surface all around you.  Unforeseen and unimaginable challenges will spring up out of nowhere and how you react will determine the outcome and determine who wins.  No matter what, you can never succumb or give in.  It’s true, “what doesn’t break you, makes you stronger.”  Every setback is a setup for a greater come up.  It’s cliché, and passé, but it’s a fact.  The experiences we have in life mold the character we exude.

Life will take you through ups and downs, but it also provides a seatbelt; strap in and hold on.  Sometimes the ride will be smooth and carefree; at other times it will be tumultuous and shake you to your core.  It is during both times, you have to remember why you started to begin with, where your passion lies, who will it serve, what can be accomplished by staying the course, and how it impacts not only yourself, but those you encounter.  And here’s a little secret… the bigger the blessing, the bigger the barrage.

Find motivation within, through others, and wherever it can be found.  It only takes a spark to reignite the fire and like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, you too can rise from the heat and soar high.  Believe in your dream, believe the impossible, believe that this too shall pass, and believe that you already possess everything you need to succeed.

The human spirit is fantastic, amazing, and immeasurable.  We see people surpass physical and mental limitations each day and the only difference is their will to win and desire to overcome.  Derek Clark is a prime example of such a  will and is a shining example of rising from the ashes… literally.  Take a minute to listen to the rapping dad and then dig a little deeper to see how far he’s come.  You’ll be astonished by what you discover and hopefully it will give you that extra incentive you’re seeking to light your fire.

What we are is far from what we”ll become, but in order to become all we shall be, we have to keep striving and reaching for our dreams.  Don’t let obstacles, challenges, setbacks, or people deter you from your goals.  Only you can stop you and it’s at the breaking point when you truly discover what you are made of and what you are capable of.  You are a prized possession with prized possessions that others would love to possess just to have a piece of the prize.  In other words, what you are and what you offer is priceless and valuable all at once.  It is a gift given unto you and no one else can replicate it or do as you would, so embrace all that you are and all that you will become.  The dream you have can and will become your reality.  All you have to do is believe in yourself and keep pushing.  It is yours for the taking!

Beginning any venture is challenging and there will be many struggles and obstacles along the way.  Stay the course, maintain the vision, and work through it all.  No one ever said it would be easy or without challenges.  If that was the case, everyone would do it and there wouldn’t be anything unique about you or special about your vision.  What you possess is beyond measure and it was birthed in you because ONLY you can bring it to fruition.  The DREAM only gets bigger and the more you believe, the more you achieve!  Start today by remembering what first excited you, what spark that interest, and why you’re doing what you’re doing.  Remember the purpose requires process and sometimes the process causes problems, but even problems lead to prosperity.  Your only limitation is your imagination.  Keep dreaming and keep believing!

Hope is the fuel that feeds the dream.  When we hope, we are excited about the possibilities, determined to pursue our dream, and bold enough to believe we can accomplish it all.  Hope gives us a sense of invincibleness in which we can dig deep and bring forth our best.  It is something that no one can take away or destroy.  Hope breeds presidents, wins championships, births legends!  Hope gives us enough reasons to continue despite any setbacks or opposition.  Sometimes all we need is hope to spark our reality.  Hope yourself today.  Hope enough to believe your wildest dreams.  Hope all you can to be all you can.  Hope your way to your destiny.
