It is amazing the super strength one can momentarily garner in a time of desperation. What is even more remarkable is the bond between siblings, especially twins. Unless you are a twin yourself, it is hard to understand the psychic link they share and how it correlates to an otherworldly connection. Having the privilege to watch twin boys and girls interact often (nephews and nieces), I am amazed often how they are immersed in a thought, language, and reality all to themselves that no one else is privy to. #Twinning is real!
The story in the video below is a prime example of #WonderTwinPower as we all get a chance to witness the loyalty and brotherhood between #BowdyAndBrock. Even at two years old, their special link is unquestionable. Neither brother suffered any harm, not even a scratch. We can all be someone’s hero no matter how big or small the feat… and they don’t have to be your twin to come to their rescue.
In the wake of the tragedy in Moore, Ok. earlier this week it is easy to succumb to the destruction and disaster that has shaken that community. It’s another catastrophic event that reminds us of the frailty of life. All of our prayers collectively go out and as a nation, we will support our brethren and restore what has been broken, whether its houses, schools, communities, or spirits. And here lies the beauty and all that we have to be THANKFUL for. Dire situations bring out the best in all of us and show the character of our fellow man. Look at the outpouring from around the country, listen to the citizens in Moore who despite the mass destruction around them, have continued to express how THANKFUL they still remain. It warms BrotherWord’s heart to see the spirit of THANKFULNESS shine through the worst of situations and people from all around the world, from all races & ethnicities, reaching out to lend whatever aid is necessary. From first responders, to national aid organizations, to professional athletes and entertainers, to John Q has made strives to let Moore, Ok. know we stand with them.
If the community of Moore can find hope in the eye of the storm, we too can find hope in the midst of our tragedies. Rainbows only happen where there is rain. So, when life rains on your day and brings a storm into your world, remember the sun shall rise and your future is brighter than your past! Being THANKFUL is a mindset and choosing to find the beauty in an ugly situation, the hope in despair, and the light in darkness is a trait we all possess and prayerfully take advantage of more often than not. Today and everyday, choose THANKFULNESS and watch your storm go away and your world shine!
In Locust Grove, Georgia at Noah’s Ark animal rescue sanctuary, the most unlikely of trios have found a home. Leo the lion, Baloo, an American black bear, and Shere Kahn, a bengal tiger, cohabitate and live a playful life full of fun and harmony.
By now we’ve all heard about the escape and rescue of Amanda Berry and the other captives. We’ve also been introduced to the heroic and humorous character of Charles Ramsey. The video and audio clips are one sound bite after another and Ramsey is not camera shy or short on one-liners. But what stands out most is his willingness to step in and help. The quickness in which he sprung to action and alerted authorities is the type of unselfishness and honorable behavior we hope all our communities would demonstrate daily.
