BrotherWord - Failure1

My great concern is not whether you have failed, but whether you are content with your failure.” ~ Abraham Lincoln

The truth about life is that failure is a very real part of the journey.  You will face hardships in life, times that will bring you to your knees and shake you to your core, but it is not what you go through, but how you handle it as go through it.  As much as failure may be a part of life, it should not be the defining factor.

Do not let the fear of failure paralyze you or prevent you from pursuing your hopes in dreams.  When we fail, hopefully we also learn and grow.  Use every set back as a set up for a come up!  Just because you may have fallen short, that does not mean that is where you have to remain.  Failure only wins when you quit and give up.  There is no magic solution or shortcuts.  The only way to overcome failure is to refuse to let it defeat you and persevere in spite of it.

Failure will provide perspective and appreciation.  It will teach you the meaning of hard work and help you realize that you are more than capable of obtaining your dreams.  Failure gives wisdom and strength and will force you to mature.  Failure, if applied properly, can be the catalyst to success.  Failing and overcoming builds character and breeds prosperity.

So the next time the plan does not go quite as expected or you come up a bit short, shake it off, pick yourself up, and continue on.  The failure you may experience could be the first step to greatness, but the only way you will ever know is to not let failure become your final act.

“Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.” ~ Winston Churchill

“Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.” ~ Robert F. Kennedy

“Failures are finger posts on the road to achievement.” ~ C.S. Lewis
