I feel blessed to be a blessing, blessed beyond measure,
In this thing called life, it’s hard to find the buried treasure.
But dig and dig I do, deeper I go,
I’m digging deep within to remove the clutter and find what’s hidden below.
Birthed in me is a purpose fueled by passion that started in a dream,
But how do you discover the promised land, flowing with milk and honey, if it’s never been seen?
Taking each step deliberately and with focus, following my path,
1 + 1 = 3 when you really do the math.
Two joined to create one and that one chose to be led by the holy trinity,
So whether you divide, multiply, subtract, or add, the answer is the same and rooted in divinity.
What I was placed here to do is to speak and to be heard,
To lead by example, be a voice of comfort and reason, to become BrotherWord.
Not an easy task or for the feeble or weak of heart,
But something that I was destined to fulfill from the very start.
I take this role seriously and I understand the magnitude and the responsibility,
I’ve been given all the tools, gone through the fire, been tested and tried; there is no questioning my ability.
This is my greatest challenge and my most fulfilling role,
I declare and decree that bettering the lives around me is my only goal.
Another year of lessons learned and lives touched,
None of us knows what lies ahead, but one thing is for sure, with God at the helm, we can attain much.
The secret is to remain humble, appreciate the little things, be grateful,
Simply look around and soak it in, there is so much for which to be thankful.
