“If you run with wolves, you will crawl like them, but if you run with eagles, you will surely soar like them!” ~ @sanitrah
I am so THANKFUL for friends like the ones depicted in the quote above. The kind of friends who challenge you to do more, want more, and be more. No matter how much inner strength one possesses, it is always good to surround yourself with like-minded individuals who will support and encourage you as you travel through life’s journey.
I’m am THANKFUL that my circle not only supports my mission, but will also ride along no matter how turbulent the road may become. It is one thing to be surrounded with “friends” when all is well, but it is at those darkest moments when that friendship is truly tested and the pretenders begin to separate themselves from those that are genuine and the weak fall to the wayside as the strong rise to the top.
A true friend will be there in good and bad times, will cheer you at your highest moments, will console you at your lowest, and will support you through it all. A real friend… a real friend will stand up and applaud and scream the loudest as they watch your success when all hell is breaking loose in their life. A real friend will sit in silence listening patiently and wiping your tears as their heart breaks witnessing your pain. A real friend will have no problem telling you when you are wrong, confronting you in love, and hashing out differences. A real friend knows that if no one else on earth understands them, there is one person who does and will consistently be in their corner. A real friend’s presence is felt even in their absence. What kind of friends are you surrounding yourself with?
Lions live in prides and will ferociously defend their territory and each other. A lion’s roar can be heard from 5 miles away and it is the first warning that you have invaded their precious grounds. When you think of your friends, how proud are you? Do they share the same ethics and morals as you do, do they share your same drive for greatness, are they willing and able to go the extra mile when all else fails? Will your friends share the fruits of their labor or selfishly keep it to themselves, because when the pride hunts, everyone eats! How loudly will your friends roar to protect their territory (the sanctity of the friendship) and will that roar be meek and subtle or loud and boisterous letting everyone know that if they cross you, they will have a pride of lions to deal with!
Choose your circle wisely as friendships are built, earned, and stand the test of time. I am THANKFUL and take pride in my friends who I cherish and appreciate. They continue to bless my in incomparable ways and because of who they are, I am a better person. My friends empower and inspire me daily, pushing me to chase my dreams and climb mountains, and I pray and hope I bring that same drive and substance to their lives as well. THANK YOU to my pride. Hear us roar!
Fear not, we are of the nature of the lion, and cannot descend to the destruction of mice and such small beasts. ~ Elizabeth I

Being a friend to me means being there for your friend whether it is happy times, sad times, or they are in trouble. I find myself being a good friend to others but I dont seem to get the same in response always. But I am who I am. The things I do I do for Christ, but sometimes being kind to other people may result in being taken for granted. That can happen from friends and family. But I have a lot of friends. Some I can depend on for different situations. But the closet friend I have is Jesus. My earthly friends are great. Some are fun, some are serious, and some are just who they are. But I am glad to have people that I can call friends. I have some that go all the way back to elementary and all the way through high school, church, work and just people I have met through family and other relationships.
Love it!
