Faith and belief is a personal journey, a one-on-one relationship, regardless of what higher power you believe in. Sometimes that belief is diminished when the object of faith lies in the messenger and not the message. There are many outstanding oracles that serve as vessels of the gospel, but too often the vessel either anoints themselves as the all-mighty or the people place them on pedestals. Remember where the power truly lies and that the person standing at the podium is as fallible as the people sitting in the pews. It’s good to be led, but make sure you know where you’re going!
