Motivational Monday

As each of us sleeps through the night, we can rest peacefully because of the brave men and women who serve our country and the oath they have pledged that reads…

“I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.”

Because of their sacrifice, bravery, and selfless acts, you and I are afforded a freedom that comes with a heavy price.  On this Memorial Day and every day we salute you and thank you for your continued commitment and dedicated service.

Sometimes the greatest motivation is born from serving others.  It is one thing to fight for your own life and to do everything in your power to survive, but it is a completely different thing to defend the life and liberty of others, especially when it may not be recognized or appreciated.  You want to witness motivation, speak to a soldier who’s main objective is returning home to their love ones.  You want to see motivation, talk to a military veteran  who has been in war and had to choose between taking someone else’s life or losing their own.  Motivation comes in many shapes and forms and none is more prevalent than in the images, hearts, dedication, sacrifice, and lives of the men and women of the armed services.

Thank you to my dad, uncle, cousins, friends and all those who have served and are currently serving for all you have done and for all you do!

Thank You and Continue to Spread the Word!
