None of us are perfect and although we strive for perfection in our personal and professional lives, it is the mistakes that ultimately mold us into the people we become. It is as cliché as it gets, but whatever does not break you, will indeed make you.
Mistakes can become lessons if you are willing enough to accept what happened and smart enough to learn from it. The weight may seem heavy, but you are built to handle it! Do not succumb to life’s pressures or the mistakes that inevitably happen. Mistakes and redemption are a part of life. How is one ever expected to learn anything if they scared to make mistakes? Think about a toddler trying to learn how to walk. How would they ever learn how to hold themselves up and take their first steps if their parent is the one always picking them up. We have to learn what it feels like to fall in order to learn how to pick ourselves up.
We all share one common trait and that is we will make mistakes, we will have mishaps, and we will fall short. That is human nature at its core. What separates and propels us is the ability to overcome our downfalls and rise above in spite of them. This is a true measure of a man – being able to pick himself up off the mat when life knocks him down.
Do not allow society or yourself to define you by your mistakes you make. Let your defining moments revolve around how well you managed the weight or the world to later become great!
“The measure of a man is the way he bears up under misfortune.” ~ Peter Nivio Zarlenga “When you find your path, you must not be afraid. You need to have sufficient courage to make mistakes. Disappointment, defeat, and despair are the tools God uses to show us the way.” ~ Paulo Coelho “We learn from failure, not from success!” – Bram Stoker
